"Eighteen holes of match play will teach you more about your foe than eighteen years of dealing with them across the desk"  ~ Grantland Rice

Golf is good for you
it is a game that can reduce stress as it naturally focuses your mind away from over thinking and can burn around 1000 calories at the same time. Swinging of your club or bending down to place or pick up your ball is great for flexibility. The walking improves your lung capacity and your blood flow when playing, your heart rate pumps at between 90 and 120 beats per minute making a low intensity workout perfect for gently burning off fat.

Playing golf also releases natural mood enhancing endorphins from the feel good factor of being outside in the fresh air enjoying a round of golf with your friends and colleagues.

Golf also offers a mental challenge as you are always thinking about which club to use, counting shots or working out your Stableford score.

Golf is sociable
a chance to get to know someone better and make new friendships most of the women who come to stiletto golf for the first time have not played golf before nor did they know any other women interested in the game. New friendships have been built through having fun both on the course and related social events around the game.

Golf is for business compared with a business lunch, a round of golf can take four hours, which gives you more time to get to know your clients and the informal environment also helps to break down barriers.

Playing golf requires a range of equipment, all of which can be purchased and a lot of which may be hired. The main necessities are the golf clubs, golf bag, balls, tees, golf glove and shoes. Additional equipment includes a trolley, markers, a scorecard and pencil, waterproofs and an umbrella, a cap, hat or visor.

You are meant to play the ball as it lies, a fact that may help to touch on your own objective approach to life.
